It is considered an act of vandalism when a patron, employee, visitor, vendor or other person:
- Removes pages, covers, etc. from print materials or removes disks, cassettes, etc. from non-print materials.
- Defaces materials by writing on them, altering them in any way, or neglecting to take adequate care of them. Materials available to use in the Library or to check out are considered to be in “good condition,” and it is expected that materials will be returned in similar condition.
- Damages or defaces other Library property, i.e. equipment, furniture, and fixtures, or damages or defaces the building’s interior, exterior or grounds.
The Library shall consider criminal prosecution or revocation of Library privileges for any person who commits vandalism or attempts vandalism.
