Library Tours

A tour is a guided presentation of the Library’s facilities given to two or more people. It can be a general orientation to the library building or specific departments, an architectural walk-through, or an introduction to special collections or information services.

The Auburn Public Library provides tours to promote the use of the Library and its resources and to encourage members of the community to become informed library users.

Regulations

Tours are presented by library staff members or volunteers who have completed an APL tour-guide orientation.

Tours slated to occur on a regularly scheduled basis will generally be open to walk-ins with no advance registration required.

Large groups or those with special needs should notify the Library in advance to schedule a tour by appointment. This will allow the Library to better meet the needs of the group and/or effectively accommodate its size.

Appointments for tours should be scheduled at least one week in advance.
