Event Details

The Mental Health Conversation (MHC) is an interactive presentation that aims to reduce stigma by discussing youth mental health and mental health challenges, including indicators that someone may be struggling. We discuss the “S.T.E.P. Into Action Plan” which offers strategies for starting supportive conversations with peers or students and connecting them to resources in your community. In this presentation, we focus on building up strengths to better navigate life stressors and turning to trusted adults and professional help when needed.

This program is a part of the Lewiston Public Library/Auburn Public Library Teen Mental Health & Support series. This series will run throughout 2024 and offer programs to help teenagers get information and resources on emotional and mental wellness, offer creative outlets for feelings and build community. These programs are run concurrently between LPL and APL with the same or similar community partners.
