Join local author Ed Judd to hear about his newest book, "Three Music Stories From Maine," which features three fictional novellas wherein the main character in each story is, or will become, a music teacher.

In SOULMATE LOST, Phillip, as a young child through his adulthood, has a recurring dream about a girl that he comes to regard as his Soulmate. It never occurs to him that he may meet her in real life.

WHITECAPS OF EVERGREEN LAKE features Evan, a music teacher, who wants to buy the family cottage on Evergreen Lake from his stepmother. His plan becomes more complicated when his teaching position is jeopardized due to budget cuts, at the same time as he's dealing with a familial crisis.

Eric, in TRANSITIONS OF A BAND DIRECTOR, has to make changes in his teaching style due to COVID-19. He realizes his health problems are causing him to make major adjustments in his life, and those life changes do not coincide with his love for teaching.

In creating these stories, author Ed Judd has drawn upon the experiences and observations of his 46 years in music education. In a way, the stories mirror -- to a degree -- his personal sense of place and profession.

This program will take place in the Androscoggin Community Room.
